Our After-School facility was expanded and totally renovated in 2013. It is just over 14,000 square feet in size and is the product of many years of experience, research, and design. A large wooden floor provides the perfect place, rain or shine, for skating and endless indoor games and activities! Our large seating areas allow snacks, lunch, and homework to flow smoothly, and provide excellent areas for small group activities. Safety has been designed into every aspect of our facilities, and our large, clean restrooms are second to none. Magnetic locks on our doors allow access only to parents and invited guests during childcare hours.
The building is constructed of non-combustible materials with an all-steel frame and metal studs, brick and metal exterior, and heavy gauge metal roof. We have also added a fire sprinkler system, which protects the entire building. We have made every effort to construct our building strong enough to stand up to any storm and to be virtually fire-proof.
Our After-School playground consist of a large equipment area with slides and swings, all of which meet or exceed Health Department Playground Safety Guidelines. We also have a large field perfect for soccer, kickball, football, and a variety of running games. Our playground is regularly treated, by professionals, for ants, poison ivy, and other outdoor undesirables. A large covered canopy with ceiling fans provides a cool outdoor area for hot days!
